Let’s talk about….Women
29 January 2026
There’s a long-standing myth men love to believe: that women dress up, glow up and curate themselves *for them*.
We don’t.

We do it for other women.
And no, that doesn’t mean all women are secretly bicurious (and even if we were… so?). It means we know the truth: women are the sharpest critics in the room. The most forensic. The most unforgiving.
Want proof? Look at Instagram.
I ran a tiny social experiment. I created a burner account as a man and posted the same kind of content I usually do. The result? Silence. No rage. No pile-ons. No think-pieces in the comments. Not a single Madame Lafarge sharpening her knitting needles.
Then I switched back to my real account.
Instant carnage.
The harshest comments, the coldest digs, the most creative cruelty. All from other women.
There’s an old saying: men stand shoulder to shoulder; women stand back to back. We always know where the knife is coming from. We joke about choosing the bear but, when it comes down to it, many of us will choose the man over our own sisters. Every time.
Think that’s dramatic?
Think about your worst workplace conflict.
Your pettiest neighbour dispute.
That tense moment in the supermarket queue.
Exactly.
And, yet, despite all of this, I still hope.
I hope that one day women will stop treating each other like rival startups fighting for the same scraps of attention, validation and power. I hope we’ll realise that solidarity isn’t a slogan: it’s a choice.
Imagine what would happen if we stopped competing and started building something together.

THIS!!
I love this!
This should be talked about more!!
Thanks for sharing!
